I pledged to this project and it includes a physical item, but didn't see a place to enter a mailing address to receive my rewards. Did I miss something?
Not to worry! We will be sending a survey to all backers at the conclusion of the campaign that includes an entry field where you’ll be able to input the address where you would like your physical rewards mailed.

Will First in Fright: The FANGORIA Compendium be available outside of this Kickstarter campaign?
The first edition of First in Fright: The FANGORIA Compendium and many of the items included in the bundles offered as part of this Kickstarter project will never be made available outside of this campaign. Some of the features in the book (like the slipcase or certain stretch goals that may be realized) will remain exclusive to the campaign.
To be clear, we currently have no plans to offer the book outside of the campaign, but if a version is created in the future for sale at retail or after the Kickstarter it will not include many of the exclusive features that those backing the Kickstarter will receive.

Is the list of contributors final?
Not at all! We are still working to add many more voices to the FANGORIA Compendium to make this book a truly comprehensive history of horror, and we plan to include additional names to our list of contributors throughout the campaign and up until the book goes to press. If I back at a tier that provides access to the FANGORIA Digital Archive, how long will my access last?
If you purchase access to the FANGORIA Digital Archive you will have unlimited access to all of the classic “Volume 1” issues of FANGORIA print magazine (issues 1 through 344), including the ability to download one complete set of PDFs of each of the issues that you can read forever. You’ll be able to access the Digital Archive for as long as it remains online, with no follow-up costs or subscriptions required.

Does the Digital Archive include all issues of FANGORIA?
The FANGORIA Digital Archive that we will create, with your support, includes all classic issues of FANGORIA magazine that were printed from 1979 to 2015. That’s 344 issues of content that you will be able to access, including a fully searchable and indexed database of content that can be read in its original format or via a text reader that will be built-into the archive.

When will I be able to access the FANGORIA Digital Archive?
We’ve already started working on the FANGORIA Digital Archive and plan to have the issues accessible to backers as soon as possible, with the goal of providing access to all qualifying backers by the date the book ships or even sooner. Not only will we be building a new archive interface, but we are scanning and remastering all the pages to remove many defects and clean up each page so it can be read in a format as close to the original print state as possible.
Do note that if we achieve any of the stretch goals related to expanding the Digital Archive, those features may not be finished by the time you’re granted access, but we’ll be updating the site regularly until they’re implemented.

I backed at a tier that includes an item but I’m also being offered the same item as an add-on. Why am I seeing this add-on if it’s already included in the tier I’m backing?
We wanted to allow users who may want a second copy of the book or certain other rewards to be able to purchase the additional copies. Unfortunately, we can’t limit what Add-Ons are shown to each backer so it is possible that you’ll be offered the opportunity to purchase an additional copy of an item that is already included in your Reward tier. You’re under no obligation to purchase any Add-On. We apologize for any confusion this may cause.

What are the book specifications? What kind of paper are you using? Will it be full color throughout? How many pages will it be?
First in Fright: The FANGORIA Compendium will be a high-quality book, full color throughout, produced with a sewn hardcover binding and a total page count of at least 300 pages (but this length could be increased if certain stretch goals are reached). Additionally, all signed editions will have a special Signature Page that is tipped-in to the beginnng of the book. Interior paper weight will be an 80-pound gloss text sheet. Lastly, the Kickstarter Edition (1st Edition) of the book will be exclusive to this campaign. We currently have no plans to offer the book outside of the Kickstarter campaign, but if we do offer a second edition sold at retail it will have a smaller page count, different cover, and not include certain special rewards like slipcases. The contents of the book in all tiers will be the same with the exception of upgrades provided in some tiers like a slipcase, signature page, or leather cover.

Is there any way to obtain the full FANGORIA Trading Card set? Can we purchase additional packs of Trading Cards? Are they related to the Horror Collectors Card set?
Each pack of FANGORIA Trading Cards contains 8 regular cover cards, featuring artwork from different issues of FANGORIA magazine, as well as 1 foil card variant. There are a total of 40 cards in the set, including 32 cover cards and 8 foil cards. The VIP Invitation to the Launch Party tier includes the full set of cards. Other tiers provide 1 to 4 packs of cards. You can also purchase additional packs as Add-Ons. These are a new series of cards being created specifically for this campaign and are not related to the FANGORIA Horror Collector Cards.

I have a reward tier that includes "get your name in the book". Can I put in a different name from my screen name or include a friend's name instead of my own?
We’ll be sending out a survey to all backers once the campaign ends. For those who have a “name in the book” reward there will be an entry field in the survey that you can fill out however you’d like (within reason - we won’t allow people to put obscene words in the book, etc.). This means you can put your own name or a friend’s name in the entry field on the survey and that is what we’ll use when we lay out the pages.

I live in a country with VAT, Taxes, or Additional Courier Fees
NOTE: We cover customs clearance through our shippers, but do not collect import taxes or VAT, and do not cover any additional broker fees couriers may charge for customs, tariffs, or other handling costs or fees. Some countries have those fees, others don’t, and frankly it’s beyond us to keep track of all the rules and regulations worldwide. If you do not normally pay those fees on imports, you shouldn’t with our campaign, but if your country requires additional taxes, then you’ll have to pay the courier those fees before you receive the product. That money goes directly to the courier and your country’s taxation department. If the package is returned to us, and you don’t want to pay for a second delivery attempt, we can refund the price of your reward but NOT the shipping fees, as we have already paid the money out for the first attempted delivery.

What is BackerKit?
BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!
The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.
How does BackerKit work?
After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.
I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?
The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.
Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.
To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.
How do I update my shipping address?
BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.
When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?
That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.
I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?
